Lost Photos!

Our life has been crazy busy these last couple of weeks. I'm sure you can tell from my lack of blogging. I have brief moments that I can take to glance through and see what everyone is up to, but I don't even have enough time to comment! We have just over come fevers, massive ear infections a mind blowing wind storm that took out our back fence and broke big tree branches off the huge oak tree in our backyard. Carson has started having begun seizures which has landed us in an emergency vehicle and ER twice in two weeks, the lose of a beloved great grandfather and Jimmy having to spend a week in LA while I hold down the fort. Now..... I have a story, one that is every mothers nightmare. I was trying to clean up my computer, make it more efficiant. Right!?!?! Ended up erasing all of the photos from 2008. Which would include the first 6 months of my sweet sweet Carson's life. The worst part about it is, that I never sent them over to Costco, never printed copies, never burnt a disc. AHHHHHHHH! It is especially hard when you realize that your first two boys have all their photos in photo albums, have extra discs to back up their photos and my Carson doesn't have any of that. So I would have to say how grateful I am for my blog. I have photos! Only a few, but yet, I have photos. Here are a few photos I found Enjoy

9 years of wedded bliss

Our Anniversary was so much fun. We left the kids with grandma and grandpa and headed up north to Tahoe. We had so much fun shopping, and trying out the local cuisine. We then headed over to Carson City where Jimmy had some work he had to do. I was let loose on the town. I hit every Antique store, and specialty shop. I had so much fun. I was wishing Jimmy could join me. I also went to two local museums and historical site. I can't believe it has been 9 years. We have had 3 wonderful boys, gone to 3 different schools. Passed the bar, and got a RDA liscense. Took a trip to Samoa and watched 7 sibblings get married in the temple. We've traveled the U.S.A and shared many callings in the church. We have enjoyed every min. I am so greatful for such an amazing and supportive husband. He really is wonderful and perfect. Love you

Happy 6th Birthday Ethan

This month has been filled with lots of celebrations. Andy just finished an amazing organ performance in Kansas. He has created a brilliant organ arrangement based on the three gardens. I wish I could have been in attendance. From the stories and comments, I gather it was an amazing and unforgettable event. Earlier this month we attended a 40th birthday for a close and dear friend. We all got dressed up and headed to a nearby country club. Jimmy was able to enjoy a round of golf with his friend Jim and the kids and I enjoyed a swim at the pool with all the mothers. We really had a great time. The boys even got to practice there swings. We also celebrated Ethan's 6th birthday. He is such a great kid! With him heading off to Kindergarten, I am really going to miss him. We had a birthday party at Bounce U, which is a huge warehouse filled with bounce houses and fun things for kids to do. We all had a great time. We later had a dessert party with all of the family in the area. Ethan is a joy and a character to have in our home. We are so proud of him and are so gratefully Heavenly Father sent him to our family. I love you buddy!

Our BIG trip

This last week, I took the kids by myself up to Rexburg to visit my brother and his wife Sadie. We had such a great time. We rode motorcycles, went on the temple grounds, swam in Rigby lake were I got the worlds worst sunburn. We visited all the old places Jimmy and i used to go when we were dating. We took the kids to the splash park and on the Carousel. After a few days in Rexburg we drove to Pulman to visit my sister and her husband, along with the newest addition to the family miss Myra. She is adorable and Ethan had fun holding her. We then jotted over to Spokane and stayed downtown by Riverfront park for a couple of days. We took the kids to see the red wagon and feed the geese. We went swimming everyday and loved the weather it was perfect. I got to see an old friend from highschool and let the kids run wild for an afternoon. We picked Jimmy up from the airport and then headed to Colville for the big Christensen Family Reunion. My grandparents were celebrating there 60th wedding anniversary. We took a hay ride up to beaver pond, sleigh rides, tracktor rides, horse rides, chased cows and chickens and cook ALOT! So here are a few pictures from our trip, I hope you enjoy!

Wedding Post

Just a few of the MANY photos taken over the weekend.  Our family headed up to Kettle Falls a week before the wedding to help out with the farm and all the pre wedding projects.  We had a great time, chasing cows, cooking, eating, visiting, working and having a lot of fun.  These photos are from the actual wedding day, except the family photo infront of Mt. Shasta!  It is my favorite place to stop on our way home.  All you see for miles are fields and fields and fields, then BAM  Mt. Shasta!  LOVE it!

One of the great things about having a giant family is....all the fun sisters you get to have.  I grew up with no sisters and prayed that someday I would get the chance to have one.  Now I stand to inherite 13!  Here are just a few of us lovely ladies.

Here are the guys getting ready for there BIG performance.  How could we have a wedding without music?  Andy and Doug always come up with some clever, song and bring us all to tears.  This time they got most of the guys involved sing a tribute song to Jesse and Kirsten.  They put together a dance and sang " Jesse's Girl".  LOVED IT!

Of course we had dancing, Jimmy had been waiting all week for the opportunity to dance with Grandma Lois!  Isn't she Gorgeous.  She and I have descided that she is Beautimous #1 and I am Beautimous #2.  She and grandpa are getting ready to celebrate the big 60 wedding anniversary.

I must not have gotten the memo that all the girls were going to be in purple. But I will make note that Marvelous Melissa and Talented miss Tawnya made there dresses! (The two on the right) All I did was hit up Macy's and pray they had something in yellow! I love yellow!
I had been trying so hard to get a picture of the sweet Sarah. It wasn't until she was all dressed up that she actually sat down and let me take her photo! Love the curls

Our house has never been so busy and crazy. We have been getting ready for our trip to Spokane to see family, work on the farm and watch as my younger brother Jesse got married. In all of the commosion we were able to celebrate Dallin's 3rd birthday. We had a blast! We went to the train museum in the morning and had the Piano Man come sing at the party the next day. Dallin had a blast with all of his buddies singing and dancing. We are so happy to watch Dallin grow up. We are truly blessed to have him in our family. WE LOVE YOU BUDDY!

HAPPY EASTER

We had such a fun Easter. The boys had a blast searching for eggs in the back yard and opening them all. This year we descided to have the boys say something they love about Jesus for every egg they got.

"Jesus, I like your shoes."
"Jesus, Thank you for my bionicle"
"Jesus, I like your face."

It was fun listening to the boys come up with different things to say. Whatever Ethan said, Dallin would say also. They make such a great team. Here are just a few pictures of our fun Easter. Happy Easter Everyone.

Baby Brooklyn with Great Grandpa Carmody

Our Annual Temple Photo Shoot

Every year I get the boys all dressed up and take them up to the temple for there photos. It is a tradition I hope to continue where ever we go. This year the boys are sporting the Miami Dolphin colors which I thought was really refreshing. Poor Carson ended up scratching his eye on the way to the temple, so unfortunetaly he doesn't have his photo yet. I have to admit this time of year is my favorite with all the amazing flowers blooming and blossoms everywhere. It makes me think of family, and a renewing desire to not let life bog me down.

HAPPY SPRING!

Happy Valentines Day

This last weekend was our BIG Valentines Day Celebration.  Valentines is like Christmas at our house.  It has been a tradition ever since we started dating 9 years ago! We "love" to let each other know just how much we care.  So this year we descided to head up 101 and go see the Red Wood trees with the kids.  On the trip up, it was rainy and I have to admit, I was a bit scared.  I hate traveling in scary weather.  Jimmy had fun putting his brights on as we drove through the snow flurries.  It felt like you were in some Star Wars movie.  (TRY IT!)  The weekend was alot of fun, we took the kids to the swimming pool at the hotel and let them jump on the beds.  We then took the kids to the "BIG TREES" and let them run around.  They really enjoyed themselves.  We are now home and getting settled into the swing of things again.  We spent our Presidents Day at a friends house letting the kids run around.  I hope you all had a great Valentines Day.  Don't forget that Valentines is all about showing the people around you how much you truly care about them.

Truly Blessed

Ok so today we had Woman's Conference, which was alot of fun. One of the classes we attended was on recieving revelation. One of the suggestions was to write down your thoughts and you will see how the Lord blesses you. So here goes. I find lately I see alot of small miracles while I drive. Today was one of those days that really made me ponder my life and how blessed we really are.

Because of the warm weather, there have been an increased number of homeless people on corners and in parking lots. Part of me is really nervous when I see them, however another part of me really hurts to see them go without. Well, I saw this guy standing on the corner and I wished I just had something to give him. I dug in my purse hoping for something, anything yet I had nothing I could give. By this time the cars were moving, as I watched the man, he nodded and would mutter "God Bless," to each car that drove by, weither they gave or not. As I drove by I put my head down in shame. Here was this man without anything at all blessing each person going by, and I so worried about meaningless worldly things like having the right type of bratworst hotdogs for a Super Bowl I wasn't even going to watch.

It made me think about the many times I have felt like I've had nothing, how down I feel and how I murmur and complain. I truly am so blessed. Lately I have found that life gets overwhelming faster and earlier in the week than it used to. So I called my mom! Thanks mom for always being there! I love you! She gave me some great advice; she said write down your "Have too's" Like, making beds, cleaning bathrooms (YUCK) dishes, feeding your kids. Whatever it may be, everyones list is different. Get those done and pick one thing to make your home more beautiful. Like, planting a flower, dusting the cob webs that have taken over the corner of your living room. And spend the rest of your time enjoying your family.

So back to the homeless people everywhere, as I left Walmart I drove by yet another homeless group of people, yet was taken back by what I saw. They lived in a run down small pop-up trailer which was attached to a small truck parked in the Home Depot parking lot. A group of them were sitting on the curb with what little property they had. They were laughing and enjoying the company they shared. They had taken the time to beautify what they had by painting the truck and trailor in camo. Now I'm sure they had alterior motives for painting it camo, but I like to think that in this life, it is not about what we have or don't have. I like to think that even though these individuals have been delt a tuff hand, that maybe just maybe they will recieve there blessings in another life. Maybe all it takes in life to be happy is a small truck, an old run down trailor, and good friends and family to keep you company. Of course I know that not only does it take the simple and small lessons learned but also the gospel of Jesus Christ, I truly am blessed.

I hope you all have a great week

Old Photos

I was going through a bunch of old photos and couldn't help but laugh a little when finding these. Of course I must have kept them for future black mail, but I couldn't help putting them up. Also notice how much Ethan and Carson look alike as babies. Aren't they darling?!!!!
